Chicago the Musical at KLCC

Last Saturday, Rafiq and I were lucky enough to snag tickets to watch Chicago The Musical at KL Convention Center. Thank you Rafiq's Dad!!!! I've never been to a musical before so I was really excited to go! School plays don't count!

Anyways, since I was really psyched, I thought of buying a new dress to wear to the show. You know how we girls would always find a reason to shop. Heck, most of the time we don't even need a reason. So my reason was reason enough!! LOL! But seriously, I had nothing to wear! I was out of clothes! Honest!

So that Thursday, I scoped the whole of One Utama to find something really nice to wear for Saturday's matinée. And guess what? I didn't find ANYTHING I liked! I was so disappointed! I was running out of time and by Friday, I still didn't have anything to wear! So I dug up my closet and found out that I DID have something to wear!! Phewwww!! Saved a few bucks right there!! But then I realized that I didn't have a handbag and shoes to go with my outfit! Arghhh! But at the same time, Yayyy! Another reason to shop!

So on Friday, I hit Mid Valley for my search! There were so many shoes and handbags that left me so confused! In the end, I settled for a really nice clutch I found at Vincci! It was just the right hue to go with my top! As for the shoes, I ended up going to The Curve cuz not ONE STORE at Megamall had my size!

Anywayssss, the musical! Yes, yes.. the musical! It was great! Well, for a first timer who never had any other experience enjoying a musical, I have to say that this one was super! The characters came alive and the singing was simply SUPERB! Gosh, those actors could REALLY sing! I was engrossed throughout the whole show! Rafiq on the other hand almost fell asleep. Since I've always been into musicals and theaters, I think it's only natural for me to be engrossed.

Updated: Due to licensing purposes, I couldn't post pictures that I snapped from the musical. So here are the official photos taken from Bronowski Production.

To those who missed it, too bad! It was really a great musical! Don't miss out on anymore musicals in the future~!

We were supposed to catch an orchestrated James Bond thingy at MPO that same night but we scrapped the plan cuz we figured it would be boring.
So yeah, that was what my weekend was like. Fun! Fun! Fun! grin

the singing part was great! but the stage was too small to have anything spectacular..the last time i enjoyed musical was Starlight Express, and the stage was all around us! people on wheels? that one got me stayed up throughout

Dear Ratu,

My name is Oli Sones and I am the Associate Producer of Chicago. Thank you very much coming along to the show and we're very glad you enjoyed the production. I see you managed to take some shots of the show from where you were sitting. As much as we appriciate you taking an interest in capturing the event, unfortunatley you should not post these photos on the internet as it breaks licensing laws we have on the show. However, we have some official photos on our website, which we are more than happy for you to use on your blog. The address is www.bronowski-productions.com/
chicagothemusicalklphotos/album1.htm

There you can grab some of the shots for your blog.

Once again thanks for your interest in Chicago and I hope you come back next time we are in KL!

Yours gratefully,

Oli Sones
