Rafiq Smarty Pants

Buddy's sleeping. Shemah's snoring. And I'm sitting up in bed tryna think of what to write. There's been so many things to tell since I got back home, but I just can't seem to think of where to start. The day after I came back, Shemah's husband came back too and we had a great 'sungkai' moment with everyone at home. I didn't take any pics cuz I was too excited to be at home and enjoy dinner. Besides, I was too busy in the kitchen cooking. I made my famous 'ikan bakar' dish that everyone enjoyed. I even forgot to take a picture of it. Shoot! It's something I actually made up which miraculously did NOT turn out disastrous. Since everyone happens to like it, next time I'll post a picture and put up the recipe if anyone ever wants to give it a go.

Most of the days I've been using up my time here to catch up on the latest news about who got married, KK's developments, and other juicy stories. Last night alone, my Mom, brother and I stayed up til 5am talking, laughing, ghost storytelling and gossiping. It was clear that each of us were sleepy but no one wanted to be the first party-pooper. In the end, my kid sister had to pay for our late night ramblings cuz no one was able to wake up the next morning to send her to school. She got so mad that she didn't talk to the three of us for the whole day! She just had to talk to my Mom cuz it's Mom! My brother and I on the other hand were given the silent treatment! Hmmmm..I could already feel the excitement of my initial arrival wearing off, replaced by word wars and sibling brawls.

Well, I don't give a hoot. I'm still glad to be back. I've been so happy just to be back home that I'm hardly even thinking about Raya. Honestly, I even forgot that Raya is actually this Saturday until Rafiq told me he'll be going back to Batu Pahat this Friday. And I was like "Why so early??" And he was like, "Hmmm, cuz it's Raya the next day?" Gosh, I totally forgot! I'm not that into it though. I'm just glad to be home and I can't wait for Shemah to give birth, which could be any day now. Yippeee~!!!

I gotta go down for sahur now. Rafiq also reminded me that tomorrow night's gonna be the last sahur for the month of Ramadhan. I wonder if we'll have anything special for tomorrow night.. Hmmm, I doubt it. Time sure flies by so quickly, right?!! Tsk Tsk Tsk... Well, till next time... Selamat Menyambut the last days of Ramadhan!!
